Construction is well underway at the St. Margaret Sailing Club in preparations for the 2009 Nautel Laser World Championship. Currently a new race committee building is being built to accommodate race officials, a new breakwater and floating dock to accommodate all committee, spectator, coach and support boats.

We are in the process of finalizing some of the exciting optional social activities being planned for our Masters event. Although details can not be confirmed yet, we have posted a list of activities that we are working on. If you have any friends or family members who are considering coming – bring them along! There will be lots to do, and they may have almost as much fun as you do. |

The 2009 Laser Worlds just got bigger! Due to strong demand, competitor limits have been increased for both the Senior and Master events. The Senior (Standard) World Championships has been increased from 160 to 180 competitors, and the Masters Championships has been increased from 350 to 400 competitors. This brings the total expected participation level to 580 athletes! |

We have released booking information for our Masters group hotel. Although competitors may book wherever they like, we have reserved a city hotel and arranged a favorable rate for competitors and their families. Further information can be found on the Masters Accommodations page. |
